GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE FOR ONLINE PURCHASES
ON THE ÉDITIONS DU LIVRE WEBSITE

ART. 1: GENERAL PROVISIONS
1.1. Scope. These general terms and conditions of sale form a contractual agreement between our publishing house and its customers for any purchase made from Éditions du Livre. In the event of any amendment to these general terms and conditions of sale, the version in force at the time your order is validated shall apply.
1.2. In the event of disputes. These general terms and conditions of sale and all clauses herein are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute concerning the interpretation or performance of these general terms and conditions of sale, we favor resolution by amicable agreement between the parties. Should no amicable agreement be reached, disputes shall be brought before the competent courts.

ART. 2: ORDERS
Orders may be placed online at: http://www.editionsdulivre.com

ART. 3: PRODUCT AVAILABILITY
The availability of our publications is valid for as long as they are displayed online, subject to available stock (except as stated below). In the event of unavailability of our publications or a delay in delivery, customers will be notified by email within 30 days. If payment has already been made, you may choose to cancel your order (in which case you will be fully refunded) or accept an extension of the delivery time. This response must be sent by email within 30 days of receipt of the email sent by Éditions du Livre in the event of a delay or unavailability of the ordered product. If, after 30 days, we have not received any response from you, the product will be delivered within the new delivery timeframe. In the event of product unavailability, if payment has already been made, your order will be refunded. Refunds will be made by transfer via Stripe or, in the case of payment via PayPal, directly to the account used at the time of purchase.

ART. 4: PRICES AND PAYMENT TERMS
4.1. Prices
The prices of our books are those indicated on our website (http://www.editionsdulivre.com). Prices are stated in euros, all taxes included, subject to error. Éditions du Livre reserves the right to change prices at any time. The price payable for an order is the price in force at the time the order is validated. Books are sold in compliance with applicable regulations, in particular French Law No. 81-766 of August 10, 1981 (the Lang Law) on the fixed book price. For deliveries outside mainland France, any customs duties or local taxes are the responsibility of the customer.
4.2. Shipping costs
Shipping costs include a contribution toward preparation, packaging, and postage. Unless otherwise indicated on the relevant product page, shipping costs are calculated based on the weight of the ordered item, postal rates in force at the time of the order, and preparation costs. In all cases, shipping costs are summarized at the bottom of the “Cart” page before order validation.
4.3. Payment methods
Éditions du Livre offers two payment options: via Stripe or via your PayPal account, both of which ensure secure credit card payment (secure entry via SSL encryption). To proceed, please complete the designated form with your contact details and card information (card number, security code, and expiration date). We do not accept cash payments. Orders will neither be processed nor refunded in the event of theft or loss if cash is sent.
4.4. Delivery
Orders are delivered to the address you specify in the designated section. In the event of an error in the delivery address, please notify us as soon as possible by email so that we may attempt to make the correction promptly; however, we cannot guarantee that the change can be taken into account. For deliveries within mainland France, your parcel will be delivered within a maximum of 30 days from the date of your order. Depending on its weight and dimensions, shipping will be via Colissimo or standard mail. For Colissimo shipments, you will receive a tracking number by email directly from the carrier. Standard shipments do not include tracking numbers. For deliveries within Europe or internationally, parcels will be sent by standard mail and delivered within a maximum of 60 days from the order date. In the event of loss, damage, or theft during shipment, Éditions du Livre cannot be held liable. However, we invite you to contact customer service at hello@editionsdulivre.com to arrange a replacement solution and to file a claim with the carrier where applicable. For deliveries outside mainland France, any customs duties or local taxes remain the responsibility of the recipient, who is advised to check with the relevant authorities in their country.
4.5. Right of withdrawal
If you are not fully satisfied with your order, you may return it within 7 days to the following address: Éditions du Livre – 15 rue Charles Grad – 67000 Strasbourg. In the event of a return, only the item will be refunded; shipping costs will not be reimbursed. Refunds will be made by transfer directly to the bank account used for the purchase, or via PayPal where applicable.

ART. 5: COMPLAINTS
For any complaints regarding our products, please contact us by email at: hello@editionsdulivre.com
Only complaints concerning sold items will be processed; no complaints will be accepted regarding any gifts that may be included.

ART. 6: LIABILITY
Éditions du Livre cannot be held liable in the event of technical malfunctions or misuse of information (linked to a computer system failure). If data related to a customer’s order does not reach us for any reason (connection issues or otherwise) or is illegible, Éditions du Livre cannot be held responsible. The items offered comply with the laws in force in France; Éditions du Livre cannot be held liable if items ordered from another country do not comply with the legislation of that country.

ART. 7: DATA PROTECTION
The information requested on our website is confidential and is primarily necessary to process your requests effectively and improve the services we offer. The processing of your personal data complies with French Law No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978, relating to information technology, data files, and civil liberties. You may access and correct your personal data at any time.

ART. 8: CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
These general terms and conditions of sale are accepted by the customer, who, by placing an order, acknowledges having read and accepted them.
